Signage design for the Île Seguin Garden

Île Seguin continues its transformation with the opening of the Gauthier-Mougin Park. This 1.5-hectare garden is part of a strong urban and cultural ambition. Between nature and artworks, it brings new life to a site long marked by the presence of the former Renault factories.

Within this context, we developed a signage design project directly inspired by the geographical configuration of the site, located between two branches of the river. Through the use of acrylic paintings, we sought to visually translate the sensation of water and insularity, creating a graphic language that evokes landscape, flow, and the island’s unique relationship to its surroundings.

This concept was applied throughout the entire park. The landscapes were interpreted as panoramic illustrations integrated into the wayfinding system. These panels simultaneously display the park map, the island’s location, and stylized landscape views, creating both an informative and sensory reading of the space. Distributed across the different areas of the park, they guide visitors by combining orientation, information, and visual immersion into the site’s distinctive identity.
